The Fender ‘Tweed’ Deluxe is one of the most iconic guitar amplifiers.

Although the tweed covering on this Deluxe is a bit weathered, the amp is in very good condition internally. It has been serviced, with several capacitors replaced and a three-prong plug added for grounding. The output and power transformers are original.

At the moment, it’s fitted with a Celestion Blue Alnico speaker. A 1947 Jensen Alnico speaker is included, but its cone is in poor condition.

Unlike the ‘narrow panel’ 5E3, this ‘wide panel’ 5D3 offers a bit more clean headroom and a slightly tighter low end.

This Deluxe was wired in 1954 by Lupe Lopez, and the piece of tape with her name is still inside.

This amp still carries a 5C3 label, but it’s fully built to 5D3 circuit specs. You’ll often see these 5C3 labels with crossed-out octal tubes on many early 5D3 units.

Feel free to give it a thorough play test. Worldwide shipping is available, but I'd prefer local pickup.  Got any questions or want to see more photos of the amplifier? Get in touch!
