Beautiful and 100% original Gibson Les Paul Junior from 1958. The guitar comes with the original hang tags and alligator case.

This is a very early Junior from 1958. These first guitars had a 4-digit ink serial number (without the “8”) and a slab mahogany body with sharper edges than the later Juniors.

The guitar remains exactly as it left the Gibson factory in Kalamazoo in 1958. The finish still retains its strong and vibrant red colour, the frets are original and in good condition, and the pickup, pots, Bumblebee capacitor, and plastics are all original. The guitar has no cracks or repairs (the solder joints are also still original).

This Junior sounds absolutely fantastic: the pickup is very open, full, and with excellent bite. It has plenty of sustain and is highly versatile: by experimenting with the volume and tone controls, as well as your picking attack, you can achieve a wide range of tones from this guitar.

The guitar has a substantial ’50s C-shaped neck. At the 1st fret, the neck measures 22.1 mm (.84”), and at the 12th fret 25.4 mm (1.00”), with a nut width of 43 mm (1 11/16”).

The guitar comes with the original alligator/croc case and the hang tags.

If you have any questions or would like to see more photos of the guitar, please feel free to get in touch. The guitar can be shipped, but you are also very welcome to view and try it in person in The Hague.
