This Fender Duo Sonic was built in 1961 in Fullerton, California, and remains in fully original condition, featuring all the desirable characteristics of a pre-CBS Fender: a slab board rosewood fingerboard, clay dots, spaghetti logo, and black-bottom pickups.
Apart from a replaced nut, this guitar is completely original. The neck date is 5/61, and the pot codes are from the 20th week of 1961.
The Duo Sonic is a short-scale guitar with a 22.5” scale length. Thanks to the big C-neck and perfect setup with .012 gauge strings, this guitar plays wonderfully.
The finish boasts a stunning weather checking. While there are a few signs of wear here and there, the guitar is still in remarkably good condition.
The guitar comes with its original case.
