Fantastic pre-CBS Fender Jaguar from 1963, including the original white case and strap. Apart from a refret and a new nut, this guitar is completely original.
As you can see in the photos, this guitar has been well played – and once you have it in your hands, you'll understand why. This is one of the best vintage Jaguars I've ever played. It is resonant and, unlike some Jaguars/Jazzmasters, sounds very open and sparkling.
The guitar features the desired flatpole black bottom pickups, which were only used in ’62 and early ’63 Jaguars.
The neck has the typical '63 C-profile: slightly narrower at the first few frets but quickly becoming quite substantial higher up the neck.
The previous owner purchased the guitar in 2019 from Guitarpoint in Frankfurt. A certificate with the specs is included. The guitar also comes with a CITES certificate due to its Brazilian rosewood fretboard.
