Over the past few years, I have owned multiple Fender Champs, and these amplifiers never disappoint. This black panel Fender Champ Amp from 1965 is no exception!
This Champ is in very nice and original condition. It has been serviced, with some capacitors and the power cable replaced with a grounded 3-prong plug. Fortunately, both the output and power transformers are original.
The speaker has also been replaced with what I believe to be the best modern replacement for a Champ: the Jupiter 8SC. This speaker provides the amp with a bit more headroom and low-end, making the tone less ‘boxy’.
The Fender Champ has been a studio favourite for years, Clapton used a Champ during the recording of Layla, but more recent bands like The War on Drugs also use this amp. It’s also perfect for home use or small gigs!
The amplifier comes with a sturdy cover.
Feel free to come and test it extensively. Worldwide shipping is available. Do you have any questions or would you like to see more photos? Get in touch!
