1966 Fender Electric XII
1966 Fender Electric XII
A great Fender Electric XII from 1966. You don't see this model very often, but I'm sure you've heard it: Jimmy Page used an XII to record Stairway to Heaven and Eric Clapton used one during his time at Cream.
This example is in particularly nice condition. The lacquer has a slight crackle and some dents on the back, but otherwise the lacquer is in very nice condition. The pickups, pots, pickguard, tuners, etc. are all original. The only thing that has been replaced is the neckplate.
On the back of the headstock and body you will find a ‘special’ stamp. You don't often come across these stamps, especially on the body. Guitars with this stamp were often used for guitar fairs or were a special order.
This 12-string is perfectly set -up and intonated. With the 4-way rotary switch, you can select the pickups (neck, bridge and both) and in the last position, the pickups are out of phase. It sounds beautiful.
I bought the guitar from the second owner who traded it in the 1980s. The guitar comes with a nice and sturdy vintage (but not original) case.
Feel free to come and test it yourself. It can also be shipped worldwide. Any questions or want to see more pictures of the guitar? Get in touch!
