Beautiful Gibson Melody Maker in the rare Fire Engine Red finish!

This Melody Maker weighs just 2.5 kg, is notably resonant, and already has plenty of volume when played unplugged. Plugged in, it delivers a lovely twang that’s somewhat reminiscent of a Telecaster, but with a fuller and punchier tone.

It features a nicely rounded full C-shaped neck, a nut width of 41 mm (1 9/16”), and a comfortably low action. At present, the vibrato is fitted to the guitar, but it can also be set up with the wraparound bridge for extra sustain.

The guitar is largely original: the electronics are completely untouched and original, as are the knobs, tuners, and other hardware. There is, however, a small black spot on the side and a non-original heel stinger.

These stingers are sometimes added to conceal an old repair, but in this case there’s nothing noteworthy to be seen. Under blacklight, there is a minimal touch-up visible along the edge of the fretboard, but there are no signs of a break, and the neck is completely stable. Nevertheless, I’m offering it at a more favourable price. Naturally, the guitar comes with a warranty for added peace of mind.

You’re very welcome to come and try it out extensively. Worldwide shipping is also available. Any questions or would you like to see more photos of the guitar? Don’t hesitate to get in touch!
