Fiesta Red is one of Fender’s most beautiful Custom Colours. Hank Marvin, Mark Knopfler, and John Frusciante are all known for playing Stratocasters in this lovely soft red finish.
This Stratocaster is a 1960 Reissue from the Fender Custom Shop, built in 2013. It’s a New Old Stock (NOS) model, meaning it’s based entirely on a 1960 Stratocaster, but without any artificial ageing or wear (unlike the relic models).
Fender describes the neck profile as a ‘60s-style oval C. Personally, I’d describe it as a medium to chunky C-shape. The guitar is very well set up with low action and plays beautifully.
As a faithful 1960 reissue, it features a slab-board rosewood fretboard, spaghetti logo, thin nitrocellulose lacquer, '60s-style pickups, and more. The only spec that’s not period-correct is the 9.5" fretboard radius.
The guitar is still in excellent condition, with just a few small dings. It is completely original and has never been tampered with. It comes in the original brown Fender case, along with the certificate of authenticity, strap, bridge cover, tremolo arm, and original paperwork.
You're very welcome to come and try it out thoroughly. Shipping is also possible. If you have any questions or would like to see more photos of the guitar, feel free to get in touch.
