A beautiful Masterbuilt Stratocaster from the Fender Custom Shop. This is a ’55 reissue in Surf Green.
Masterbuilt guitars are entirely crafted, from wood selection to final setup, by a single luthier. In the case of this Stratocaster, that luthier is Kyle McMillin.
Fender refers to the Masterbuilts as the ‘crown jewels of the Custom Shop’, and once you play this guitar, you’ll understand why: it is lightweight, exceptionally resonant, beautifully finished and set up, and sounds absolutely incredible. This guitar reminds me of the better ’50s Strats I’ve had the pleasure of playing, but with the reliability of a new instrument.
The guitar features a fairly substantial neck with a ’54 U-profile (22.9 mm thick at the first fret and 25.1 mm at the 12th fret), a 9.5” radius, and medium jumbo frets. Please see the floor traveller for full specifications.
The Strat is in completely original condition and, aside from a small lacquer chip at the neck heel, is virtually indistinguishable from new. Naturally, the guitar comes complete with the certificate, floor traveller, tremolo arm, bridge cover, spare tremolo springs, strap, and the original tweed case.
