Since its introduction in 1963, Pelham Blue has been one of Gibson’s most popular custom colours. It is a light metallic blue that, depending on the lighting, shifts to a greener hue.
This 2019 Gibson SG Special is in pristine, original condition and looks virtually indistinguishable from new.
While Gibson describes the neck as a ‘slim taper’, I would say it feels more like a medium D-profile. The action is low, and the guitar plays beautifully.
The P90 pickups deliver a dynamic, full-bodied tone with a pronounced ‘bite’ on the bridge pickup.
The guitar comes complete with its original case, Gibson tool, strap, paperwork, and even a photo of this exact instrument on the Gibson workshop bench.
