A beautiful Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster ’59 reissue, built in 2024 and presented in near mint condition.
What immediately stands out is the dark rosewood fingerboard, the authentic relic finish (tastefully done and not over the top), and the superb lacquer work. It is a highly convincing reissue that genuinely captures the look and feel of a late-1950s Stratocaster.
Finished in Tahitian Coral, this guitar stands out from the more familiar Custom Colors. Although never listed as an official Fender Custom Colour, Tahitian Coral is known to have been used on a small number of Fender guitars in the early 1960s, making it an interesting and unusual choice.
While Fender generally used alder for opaque finishes from 1956 onwards, this reissue features an ash body. Compared with alder, ash typically offers a little more attack, snap and twang, along with a slightly more open and resonant character.
The guitar features a comfortable medium C neck profile, a 9.5” radius fingerboard, and has been professionally set up with a low action. You’re very welcome to come and try it for yourself.
The guitar is in virtually as-new condition and comes complete with its original case, certificate, Floor Traveller, all original accessories and case candy, including the tremolo arm, tremolo cover, plectrums and strap.
Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or would like to see additional photographs. The guitar can be shipped, or you are very welcome to view and try it in The Hague by appointment.
