Although you wouldn’t immediately associate Eric Clapton with a Firebird, he played a Gibson Firebird I in the ‘60s – including during his time with Cream. The Firebird I features a single bridge pickup, with no tremolo or binding.
In 2019, the Gibson Custom Shop produced a limited run of 100 of these ‘Clapton’ Firebirds. The guitar I’m offering here is number 059.
The backplate of the guitar is signed by Clapton. It also comes with the strap he used, picks, a certificate, and a stunning case with "Clapton Firebird" printed on it.
Not a huge Clapton fan? No problem – this is simply an incredible guitar in its own right. Moreover, reissues of the Gibson Firebird I are rare. This Firebird boasts remarkable sustain and a full-bodied sound with a lot of attack. Be sure to check out the demo video for an impression.
The guitar is in mint condition and has barely been played.
Feel free to come and test it thoroughly. It can also be shipped worldwide. Any questions or would you like to see more photos of the guitar? Get in touch!
