A stunning Gibson Les Paul ’58 Reissue (R8) from the Custom Shop, featuring an exceptionally beautiful flame maple top.
The guitar is highly resonant and has a surprising amount of volume even when played unplugged. The Custombucker pickups are perfectly balanced, delivering an open and full tone without ever becoming muddy.
These ’58 reissues are renowned for their substantial ’50s neck profiles. This example also has a fairly chunky neck, although it is not quite as large as some of the ’50s reissues I have had in my hands.
The guitar remains in excellent and original condition, with some play wear, particularly on the back of the body. The truss rod cover and jack plate have been replaced, and the pickup covers have previously been removed from the guitar (but are now fitted again).
It comes complete with the original brown Lifton case, certificate, and all booklets and tags.
